Post-Offer Screens
An evaluation that is conducted following an offer of employment to determine if the job candidate is functionally capable of performing the job or has an undisclosed injury that would inhibit job performance. Our Post-Offer Physical Demand Screen follows the ErgoScience. If employment is conditional on the result of a post-offer screen, then legal employment guidelines require that an offer must be made prior to the screen. Additionally, the post-offer screen must be required of all applicants of the job title. If employability is contingent upon test results, then these considerations should be stipulated in written policy. After meeting legal guidelines, the objective is to match the worker with the job requirements. The Worxsite Post-Offer Screen can determine if the individual has the required physical abilities to perform the essential functions of his or her job. Post-Offer Screens can go beyond evaluation to include useful information such as safe lifting, worker energy preservation, ergonomic principles and injury prevention.
The benefits of this assessment include:
- Determination of an individual ability to safely perform the physical duties of the job
- Decreased overall injury costs
- A multipurpose tool with proactive uses for Human Resources Managers as well as post-injury uses for Risk Management and Treatment Providers
- Baseline documentation for accelerated rehabilitation and return to work
